Veera Health is an app dedicated to transforming women's healthcare for the management and treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). With 100 million women in India affected by PCOS, the condition remains largely misunderstood and misdiagnosed, leading to significant challenges in accessing proper care.
OVERVIEW
Users needed a tailored wellness experience that reflected their unique health, cycles, and lifestyle factors, but navigating complex health reports was daunting, often leading them to rely heavily on health experts for guidance.
We created user-friendly reports with clear visuals and simplified language, making complex health data easy to interpret. Based on user feedback, the design allows users to compare insights with expert recommendations, enabling confident, informed decision-making without overwhelming them.

Managing PCOS and overall wellness is a highly individualized experience, yet users often struggle with habit formation, motivation, and understanding complex health data. The subjective nature of PCOS symptoms adds another layer of complexity, making it difficult to deliver care that is both inclusive and personalized. Many users feel overwhelmed by medical jargon in health reports, leading to a reliance on healthcare experts for interpretation rather than feeling empowered to take control of their own health. To create a truly effective and user-centric solution, the approach must be tailored, accessible, and engaging, ensuring users can seamlessly integrate wellness management into their daily lives.

A research-driven approach was adopted to create a personalized, accessible, and empowering digital experience for managing PCOS. By leveraging user insights, behavioral research, and usability testing, the platform was designed to simplify health data, encourage sustainable habits, and offer inclusive care while ensuring users feel supported throughout their wellness journey.

Users struggled with maintaining long-term motivation and forming sustainable habits. To address this:
- Small, achievable tasks were introduced to build confidence and momentum.
- Subtle reminders, positive reinforcement, and expert guidance help users stay on track.
- Visual cues and progress tracking encourage gradual lifestyle improvements.
2. Providing Inclusive & Accessible Information
PCOS affects individuals differently, requiring a tailored, easy-to-navigate experience to prevent information overload. The platform ensures:
- A step-by-step onboarding process for first-time users to access relevant resources.
- Simplified language and structured content for better comprehension.
- The website focuses on education, while the app offers actionable steps for implementation.

4. Creating an inclusive and Engaging Patient Experience

Design Approach & Style Guide
- For Alto, we prioritized efficiency by developing a concise style guide rather than a full-scale design system. This approach ensured visual consistency while streamlining the development process.

- An icon library
- To facilitate implementation, we provided the development team with a full walkthrough of the designs.
